Social Media for Skin Cancer Prevention
We are using innovative research and public health messaging techniques to develop, test and disseminate messages across social media. Our goal is to drastically decrease the prevalence of skin cancer by using social media to create lasting behavior change.
Improving Decision-Making for Older Adults with Skin Cancer
Dr. Linos’ work on optimal skin cancer treatment at the end of life introduced the concept of over-treatment and over-diagnosis of skin cancer in the field of dermatology, specifically for older patients at the end of life. Our research on this topic includes measuring the extent of over-treatment, and designing shared decision-making tools for older patients with non-melanoma skin cancer.

Decreasing Skin Cancer Risk Factors Among High-Risk Populations
Using social media advertising and other technology, our lab works to measure, understand, and eliminate disparities in skin cancer prevalence. In particular, we work to decrease indoor tanning and skin cancer among young women and sexual minority men (SMM).
